Welcome to the (living room / front bedroom) studio of Susan Nelson! In this peaceful environment, Susan creates objects of beauty from clay that are designed to be used in everyday life. Whether it is displaying the beauty of nature in a unique, one-of-a-kind, vase, or drinking tea from a cup that is both visually stimulating and feels great in your hand, these handmade vessels bring joy into one’s life, moment by moment.
Susan prefers to use her hands as her primary tools (she does not use a potter's wheel!). Textured surfaces are created by impressing the clay onto objects from nature and woodblock printing type boards which she carves with hand tools and a dremel.
